So I went back to my old high school today.
Palmer High School in downtown Colorado Springs to be exact.
And it’s been four long years.
High school girls are still drenched head-to-toe in Aeropostale.
Prepubescent boys still look like background singers in an Abbey Dawn ad.
People still stare at the lone Asian meandering through the halls (RE: Me).

You know you went to an exceptional establishment when Hall of Fame alumni include such mega stars like Elvira.
One boy looked at my hair and said, “whoa there, hello.”
I responded: “Whoa there, peanut, slow down!”
Highlight of my day: My old clips from the school’s paper which induced a great loud chortle.

In one of them I wrote:
The white men of America spread wide propaganda throughout Korea to spread the word that this country was a “paradise.”
The angst that I felt
And still do.
Things haven’t changed too much, have they?
